History

Like Cures Like

Rewinding time to understand history of evolution of Homeopathy

Homeopathy was founded more than 200 years ago by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann based on the principles laid out by Hippocrates more than 2400 years ago. At the heart of Homeopathy are three fundamental principles - The Law of Similars or subtly put 'Like Cures Like', Individualization and the usage of minimal dose. Let's find out more in the next tiles.

Like Cures Like

Like Cures Like - the cardinal principle on which Homeopathy is founded.

The fundamental law of healing behind the Science of Homeopathy is "Law of Similars". This means that a substance that is capable of causing certain symptoms in a healthy person can help heal those very same symptoms in someone who is unwell i.e. when used in a highly succussed and diluted form. Hence the simplification of Latin term "Similia Similibus Curentur" which is "Like Cures Like".

Individualization

Individualizing by splitting the white light into its component rays, just like homeopathic consult.

In homeopathy, no two people are treated the same - even if they share the same condition. That’s because healing begins with you. We take time to understand you as a whole: your physical symptoms, emotional landscape, lifestyle, relationships, and even your inner world of thoughts, dreams and beliefs.

Whether it’s a recurring migraine or a general feeling of imbalance, every symptom tells a part of your unique story. Individualization means we listen to all of it - because your body expresses deeper imbalances in subtle and interconnected ways. By seeing the full picture, we’re better able to support your natural ability to heal from the inside out. Next, let's explore what 'minimal dose' is all about.

The smallest possible amount of a remedy needed to stimulate the body’s natural healing response - without overwhelming or suppressing it is called the 'Minimal Dose'. Simple & profound - don't you think?

Homeopathic remedies are prepared from natural sources like minerals, plants or animals mainly, through a process of serial dilution and succussion ("vigorous shaking"), which is believed to enhance their energetic properties in the form of nano particles of the original substance, while removing toxicity. Through the process of individualization - when a closely matched remedy is given, it acts as a stimulus to nudge the body's innate life-sustaining force back into balance.

Because the doses are so small, they are considered safe and non-toxic resulting in no chemical side effects when the right remedy and potency is given, even for sensitive individuals like infants, pregnant women and even pets. The exact dose and potency are chosen based on the person’s individuality, sensitivity, vitality, and the nature of their symptoms. Hence every homeopathic prescription is unique to the person.
